A British diplomat shared with young Vietnamese last weekend what he thought to be the key to winning a prestigious scholarship offered by the UK government, pointing out some of the candidates’ misunderstandings. British Consul General Ian Gibbons said on the sidelines of the ‘Leader from Below’ workshop, organized by the British Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City on January 12, that Vietnamese candidates tend not to fully understand what Chevening looks for in its two main requirements: leadership and influencing skills. Fourth Vietnam Rice Festival opens
The Vietnam Farmer’s Union, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the provincial People’s Committee co-organised a ceremony to open the fourth Vietnam Rice Festival – Vinh Long 2019, in Vinh Long City, on December 13. At the ceremony, the organizing board honoured 105 outstanding organisations and individuals for their significant contributions to the development of collectives in Vietnam over the past two years.
