This water filter system is supposed to improve the quality of pumped water and guarantee the sanitation as well as health for more than 100 officers and soldiers. Since being sited in the boundary district near Cambodia, which is quite far away from residential areas, it is very difficult to access this part and thus, people here have commonly faced with the problem of unclean water and a lack of electricity. The new water filter system gifted by the HCMC Department of Science and Technology is, therefore, such a meaningful and practical gift to all soldiers. Besides a water filter system, soldiers also need a solar electricity system to ensure a continuous information connection so that they can fulfill their mission of protecting the national security.By BA TAN – Translated by Thanh Tam Tags: Water filter system household gifted soldiers Binh Phuoc … [Read more...] about Water filter system for household gifted to soldiers

Nano water filter developed
Nano water filter developed (31-08-2006) HA NOI — Scientists at the Institute of Environmental Technology have successfully refined a nano filter for the treatment of polluted or brackish water. The filter was more effective than others now available, said senior researcher Dr Ngo Quoc Buu. Importantly, it worked at very low pressure which also reduced the danger of it failing. "The filter helps to refine colours in water much better than other filters," he said. Project manager Dr Nguyen Hoai Chau said a striking advantage of the nano filter was that it was not necessary to add a chemical or micro-organism to make it more effective. It was excellent for softening hard water that contained many impurities and sulphate. The project manager said it would be impossible to make the filter in Viet Nam but an understanding of nano-filter technology and structure would help to import the most appropriate filter. Senior researcher Dr Ngo Quoc Buu explained that building a workshop to … [Read more...] about Nano water filter developed
