On Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) represented by the VN-Index, 202 stocks gained while 127 stocks lost. HoSE accounts for a 90 percent market cap of all Vietnam’s listed companies. Liquidity of order-matched transactions plunged to VND2.79 trillion ($120.4 million) from VND2.9 trillion ($125.15 million) the previous session, well below last month’s average of VND3.5 trillion ($151.79 million). The VN30-Index for Vietnam’s 30 biggest market cap companies also added 0.74 percent, with 20 stocks gaining and 5 losing. Defender Doan Van Hau (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam’s U22 players will have no time to rest after their SEA Games victory as Korean coach Park Hang-seo on December 12 announced a list of 28 footballers to prepare for the final round of the AFC U23 Championship in January 2020. In the list, there are three goalkeepers, 10 defenders, 11 midfielders and four strikers. They include most of the SEA Games winners except for midfielders Do Hung Dung and Nguyen Trong Hoang who are over the age limit and defender Doan Van Hau who has returned to his Dutch club SC Heerenveen. Park also called midfielders Tran Dinh Trong and Nguyen Trong Dai who missed key tournaments due to injury, among other talented players. Fed’s signal of no rate hike boosts shares

Foreign investors continue to show interest in Thailand
Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) expects continued volatility in capital markets due to the trade dispute between the United States and China, but foreign investor confidence in Thailand remains strong due to the country’s robust economic foundations and profit growth among listed companies. SET President Dr. Pakorn Peetathawatchai revealed that last year, the SET index shrank 10.8 percent from the year before, due to global disruptions from the ongoing trade tension between the United States and China. However, he added that Thailand’s economic foundations remain strong and continued to post higher growth last year, with several publicly listed companies reporting higher profits.
