The Vietnamese Embassy and the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Mozambique organized a ceremony to mark the 86th anniversary of the Vietnamese Women’s Day (October 20th) in Maputo on October 15th. Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mozambique Nguyen Van Trung appreciated the role of the female members in the Vietnamese community in Mozambique. On this occasion, the Ambassador also shared the current worries of overseas Vietnamese people and Mozambican friends before increasing violence and conflicts in some localities. The Ambassador promptly encouraged the spirit of the overseas Vietnamese people in the current difficult context in Mozambique. The Vietnamese Women’s Club and the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia on October 15th marked the Vietnamese Women’s Day with many practical and useful activities. At the ceremony, the Vietnamese Embassy invited Mr. Richard Quah, an official working in the court of Malaysia, to talk and discuss with the Vietnamese bride community there about legal issues that they often encountered. Vietnamese Ambassador to Malaysia Pham Cao Phong stressed that the Party and State in general, as well as the Embassy in particular, are always interested in the life of Vietnamese brides. The invitation of the legal expert to exchange and share with Vietnamese brides in Malaysia was part of this purpose. (Cinet) – On the occasion of Vietnamese Women’s Day, Morning October 18, in Hanoi, exhibition titled “National Beauty” opened. The event is held by the Vietnam Women's Museum and artists, fashion designers Pham Quoc Tuan. The collection is made from a variety of fabrics with diverse styles, representing the traditional cultural colours of the country’s 54ethnic groups. New patterns with a foreign influence from Chinese art and Japanese painting are also included in the collection. The exhibition space on the fifth floor of the Museum is regarded as "converged to create". Designer Quoc Tuan said that his Ao Dai show aims to honour Vietnamese culture and promote the beauty of the traditional costume.
