Vietnamese, Lao women to work on boosting int’l role (17-07-2009) VIENTIANE — Women in Viet Nam and Laos will continue working together to improve the role of women internationally and regionally, ensure social welfare and security, train human resources, alleviate poverty, and exchange information. Viet Nam Women’s Union Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa made the comment yesterday while being received by Party General Secretary and State President of Laos Choummaly Sayasone. Nguyen Du Vietnamese – Lao bilingual school starts new school year
Nguyen Du Vietnamese - Lao bilingual school under the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Vientiane on September 14th started the new 2016-2017 school year. At the ceremony, Rector Pham Xuan Phan said that this school year, the school has 1,897 students, 92 teachers, including 15 teachers teaching Vietnamese language. In the 2016-2017 school year, Nguyen Du school continues to improve teaching and learning, and strives to become a high quality school. Vietnamese, Lao PMs hold solidarity talks in Ha Noi
VietNamNet Bridge – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc held talks with his Lao counterpart, Thongloun Sisoulith, in Ha Noi yesterday, following a welcome ceremony. PM Phuc said the Lao government head’s choosing Viet Nam as the first country to visit after taking office reflects the importance Laos attaches to the friendship and cooperation with Viet Nam. Vietnamese-Lao T78 Friendship School inaugurated in Hanoi
The Hanoitimes - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc joined the teachers and students at the Vietnamese-Lao T78 Friendship School in Hanoi on September 23 for its ceremony to launch the 2014-2015 academic year. The event was also attended by representatives of the Laotian Embassy to Vietnam , ministries, agencies and local authorities. The Vietnamese-Lao T78 Friendship School, founded in 1958, was the first boarding school to teach Vietnamese to Lao students in Vietnam . So far, the school has provided training for 21,768 Lao students and almost 10,000 Vietnamese ethnic minority students. Speaking at the ceremony, the Deputy PM hailed the school’s achievements in recruiting and training high-quality teaching staff and enhancing the Vietnamese-Lao friendship.
