Local airports will serve 387,000 passengers a day on average during the two weeks before and after Tet, the Lunar New Year which falls on January 25, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV). Of the total of 2,350 flights a day, 39 percent will be hosted by the Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City. This means the airport will serve 38 flights on average every hour, close to the maximum mandated limit of 46 an hour. All local airlines have announced an increase in the number of flights from a regular day. Vietjet plans to have 1,158 additional flights, Vietnam Airlines 1,140, Bamboo Airways 958 and Jetstar Pacific 754. Actions advised for Vietnam to lure investors amid energy crunch
Legal or regulatory obstacles with a low level of certainty and issues concerning grid access for private projects, are the most pressing to private investment. Experts have recommended the Vietnamese government to remove regulatory obstacles for domestic and foreign investors in the energy sector to avoid energy insecurity caused by inadequate infrastructure due to low private investment. Legal obstacles should be resolved to attract private investors in energy projects. Vietnam’s national women’s football team have ended 2019 in the 32nd place in the world as they climbed two notches in the latest FIFA Women's World Ranking, after winning their sixth gold medal in Southeast Asian Games 2019 women’s football in the Philippines last week. FIFA revealed its final women’s world ranking of 2019 on Friday, considering a number of international and regional tournaments at which the Vietnamese women had delivered their good performances.
