RoK seminar on investment in Vietnam
Seoul – An international seminar on trend of investment in Vietnam in the new normal context took place in Seoul on August 18, with over 150 Korean investors and enterprises in different areas taking part. It was one of the first investment promotion seminars held in the RoK following the COVID-19 pandemic. French experts share experience in data digitization
The event, jointly held by the Vietnamese Government Office and the French Embassy, is part of a program on cooperation in administrative modernization in combination with digital transformation in 2022-2023 within the framework of a memorandum of understanding between the Office and the French Ministry of Economy and Finance on e-government development and administrative modernization. The cooperation program focuses on technical assistance to streamline administrative procedures, improve the business environment, e-governance and digital transformation. Czech writer wins Vietnamese national information service award
The collection of Czech-Vietnamese and Vietnamese-Czech poems are edited by Sys and writer and translator Do Ngoc Viet Dung (Do.honza), also a writer, co-authored a collection of poems by Czech and Vietnamese poets. The 762-page bilingual book, which includes works of many famous poets namely To Huu, Xuan Dieu, and Jaroslav Seifert, was honored at the 7th National Foreign Press Award. It was published by the Vietnam Writers Association Publishing House. The Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Embassy held a ceremony on August 17 to present the award to the Czech writer. Addressing the event, Vietnamese Ambassador Thai Xuan Dung appreciated Sys’s contribution to popularising Vietnamese culture and literary works in the Czech Republic, helping promote the relationship between the two countries. Vietnamese cultural village to be built in RoK
Briefing on a plan for the construction of the village, Park asked the Embassy of Vietnam in the RoK for support to the project which aims to mark the 30th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic ties (December 22, 1992 – 2022), to expand people-to-people exchange, and to promote Vietnam’s cultural experience in the RoK. According to Park, the village will be developed on a ground of 38,350 sq.m. It is expected to attract around 100,000 visitors and generate some 3.7 billion won (2.8 million USD) in revenue annually. Local authorities also hope that project will create jobs for nearly half a million of local residents. The Vietnamese village in Bonghwa forms part of a project planned to step up cultural exchange and accelerate cooperation between Bonghwa and Vietnam in tourism, culture and education. Danish seminar shares agricultural experience with Vietnamese firms
The deputy minister was speaking at the seminar "Danish experiences and solutions in sustainable agri-food production" on August 17. Tien underscored Denmark as one of the leading countries in agriculture and sustainable development. Denmark's experiences, he believed, would help Vietnamese firms speed up on the road to high-tech and climate-smart agriculture. Sanne Hoj Andren, Sector Counselor for Agri-Food at the Embassy of Denmark, revealed that strategic sector cooperation (SSC) is a partnership between Danish public authorities and Vietnamese ministries.
