A Vietnam Airlines flight from Hanoi to Tokyo, Japan had to make a U-turn over Chinese airspace to return to the Vietnamese capital city for medical treatment for a Japanese child passenger with a nosebleed on Monday. Just 35 minutes following its departure from Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi at 7:35 am on Monday, flight VN384 operated by flag carrier Vietnam Airlines turned around as blood kept coming out of a ten-year-old Japanese child’s nose despite first aid given by flight attendants. The plane, a Boeing 787, was within the airspace of Nanning City in Guangxi Province, China at that time. The young passenger, in seat 24A, was traveling with a sister and their mother. Nosebleed forces Hanoi-Tokyo flight to U-turn
Flight VN384 operated by Vietnam Airlines, with 145 passengers on board, was already one hour and 45 minutes away from Hanoi when the 10-year-old boy suffered a nosebleed. The boy was accompanied by his mother and sister. The crew provided immediate first-aid, and subsequently decided to return to Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport for medical assistance. After landing, the boy was taken to a hospital in Hanoi. His health is now stable. The plane later resumed its trip, which was delayed for four hours. Plane forced to return to handle in-flight medical emergency
Illustrative photo Accordingly, the flight departed from the capital city of Hanoi to Haneda, Japan this morning got a notice from the cabin crew that a child experienced a nosebleed after one hour and 45 minutes of taking off. The crew members promptly gave medical emergencies to the kid. However, the young passenger got a non-stop nosebleed so the cabin crew decided to come back to Noi Bai International Airport to receive ground-based medical support. At Noi Bai International Airport, relevant units were ready for immediately accessing to the flight and the passenger was promptly taken to a hospital in Hanoi. Cuu Long JOC oil production likely to hit 400 million barrels this year

Cuu Long JOC - comprising Petro Vietnam , ConocoPhillips, KNOC, SK Corporation, and Geopetrol - is the second-biggest oil producer in Vietnam that was established in 1998. According to Cuu Long JOC Director Nguyen Van Que , as of 2011, the firm had paid 11.9 billion USD to the State budget, and posted a revenue of 27.3 billion USD. In the first seven months of this year, the company installed underground pumps and successfully drilled two more wells. Therefore, the firm expects to pay 864 million USD to the State budget this year, he said. According to Que, Cuu Long JOC's investment in oil and gas exploration and production from 2003 to the end of 2022 will reach about 7.75 billion USD. VN-Index nears two-month high
The index closed 2.1 points up after gaining 4.01 points Monday. Trading on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange rose marginally to VND15.97 trillion ($682.8 million), marking the ninth straight session above the VND15-trillion threshold. The VN-30 basket, comprising the 30 largest capped stocks, saw 16 tickers gain. HPG of steelmaker Hoa Phat rose 2.1% to a two-month high. NVL of property developer Novaland gained 1.8% to the highest since April 14. It have risen 13% in nine recent sessions. Other gainers were VIC of Vietnam's biggest conglomerate Vingroup, up 1.1% and VJC of budget carrier Vietjet, up 1%. Thirteen tickers fell, led by VCB of Vietcombank with a 1.5% loss. It was followed by VHM of property developer Vinhomes, down 1%, and PLX of fuel distributor Petrolimex, down 0.8%. Amendments to draft revised land law expected to be done in 2023: NA Chairman

(Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – The draft Law on Land (revised) will be tabled for discussion for the first time by the 15th National Assembly during its fourth session and the amendments would be completed within 2023, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said at a working session with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE) in Hanoi on August 8. He asked the Government to send the dossier of the draft law to the NA Committee for Economic Affairs and the NA Standing Committee before September 1 to seek feedback from full-time legislators. The MoNRE should work harder to build reports on economic, social, environmental impacts as well as impacts on national defence and security, and the domestic business environment.
