Just days after arriving in Abyei, the unit set up two teams for emergency road rescue and repair activities along roads in the northern division - a border area between Sudan and South Sudan. The unit also took over the construction of a workshop for repairing and maintaining equipment, cars and motorbikes of the UN peacekeeping mission, which the first group of the unit had been working on since early May. The Engineering Company Rotation 1 has set two road rescue and maintenance teams to ensure traffic flows and conduct road rescue and maintenance missions. Vietnam has greatly improved its living standards as it jumped 39 places to become the 62nd-best country worldwide for quality of life in 2021, according to a report by CEOWORLD . The Southeast Asian nation earned 78.49 points, ranking 62nd out of 165 countries and territories, registering a sharp improvement from its 101st position among 171 countries in 2020. It ranked seventh in the region, while Singapore took the lead with 87.64 points, followed by Thailand, the Philippines, and Malaysia. Singapore also held the 19th position in the global rankings. Nguyễn Thành Luân, nephew of martyr Nguyễn Văn Ngộ, now take care of Ngộ's altar in his hometown of Hamlet 4, Mỹ Phú Commune. — VNA/VNS Photo Đức Hạnh LONG AN — A statue of Vietnamese martyr Nguyễn Văn Ngộ was built in 2017 in Cambodia's Svay Rieng province to commemorate the hero who lost his life for the Cambodian people in the war against the Pol Pot genocide. Ngộ was born in 1959 in Mỹ Phú Commune, Thủ Thừa District, in the southern province of Long An. He died when he was just 20 years old in Cambodia. More than 40 years have passed and people in Việt Nam and Cambodia remember him as a hero of the two countries. Ngộ was an infantry soldier in Vice Platoon of 2nd Infantry Company under 502nd Battalion, 779th Command, Military Region 7. He participated in 13 battles in Cambodia.
