Increasing 21 billion VND for tourism advertisement in 2010
(Cinet)- 71 billion VND is the total expenditure for the promotion activities and the tourism national of Vietnam in 2010. In comparison with the previous year, this amount has increased by 21 billion VND. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, the Deputy Director of Market Department (The Vietnam National Department of Tourism) said: According to the plan approved by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Ministry of Finance: total expenditure for tourism advertisement which belongs to two programs promoting tourism and tourism national action in this year is 71 billion VND. Among them, the expenditure for tourism promotion is 40 billion VND, increasing 15 billion VND. Vietnam’s tourism advertised on BBC
By late April 2009, Vietnam’s tourism will be advertised on global BBC and public means of transport in the United Kingdom, said a senior official from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on March 26. The ministry’s Chief of the International Cooperation Agency, Nguyen Van Tinh, said that the government approved VND 25 billion (US $1.47 million) for tourism promotion in 2009. The funding for advertising on the BBC is US $204,000, with 320 times of 30 seconds each. The advertising clip will be broadcasted within eight weeks in Asia-Pacific, six weeks in Europe, and six weeks in the US. Vietnam tourism advertised in Thailand
{mosimage}Central Vietnam A Safe and Attractive Destination is a theme of a programme to advertise tourism of Vietnam held by Vietnam Consulate General and tourism department of Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang and Quang Nam. The program, which attracted around 40 travel agents, hotels, restaurants, health clinics in the northeastern Thailand and more than 20 businesses from Central Vietnam, is aimed at providing a chance for the two sides to seek ways to strengthen co-operation in the field. Vietnamese travel agents representatives introduced the tourism potentials of localities, events and cultural festivals this year, particularly the Hue Festival which will take place from June 3-11. Vietnam tourism advertised on French TV
A film crew from France’s TV5 channel has shot the Vit Co Xanh ecological village in northern Hoa Binh province and Sao Bien yacht in Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh province. This film will be broadcasted on TV5’s Tourism Discover programme, which introduces unique tourist sites to the French-speaking community. The film will be on TV5 Quebec (Canada) in January 2010 and on global TV5 Monde in March 2010. In Vietnam, apart from shooting the world natural heritage site at Ha Long Bay, the French film crew paid special attention to the community tourism model, with Vit Co Xanh ecological tourist site as the example. French film makers came to Vietnam under the sponsorship of Vietnamese travel company, Vietnam Adventure. France is a key market for the Vietnamese tourism industry. Danang launches tourism advertising campaign
Danang has launched a new advertising campaign touting its new slogan “Danang City – a friendly, safe and hospitable community” aiming to attract more domestic holiday and foreign tourists from traditional markets. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Director of the Municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DoCST), said that from now through the end of the year many new tourism products and services have been launched.. This year’s programme focuses on three main groups: domestic holiday-makers, foreign tourists and meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE). According to the Danang Tourism Promotion Centre, around 90 units have registered to take part in the programme with many new products and promotional tours. Hanoi tourism advertised in Tokyo subways
VietNamNet Bridge – More than 1,000 posters introducing the images of Vietnam's capital city of Hanoi are being hung on cabins and 24 electronic tables at almost subway stations in Japan. This is part of a tourism promotion project between Hanoi and Tokyo which is implemented in September and October. Tokyo covered the whole project expense which is estimated at VND3 billion. Meanwhile, Hanoi will popularise the image of Tokyo on information systems and electronic tables in January and February 2015. The project was initiated by the Council for Promoting Tourism in Asia (CPTA) which includes 8 member cities of Hanoi, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, New Delhi, Bangkok, Taipei, and Seoul. Director of Oxalis Company Nguyen Chau A was quoted by the BBC as saying that the coordination between the blockbuster and advertisement programs would push tourists to make decision to Viet Nam in the coming time.
