The national flag carrier said Friday that ten flights scheduled to leave HCMC and Hanoi for Japanese cities like Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo on Saturday will have their departure delayed by 22 hours on safety considerations. In addition, the airline announced the cancelation of four flights, including two from Da Nang to Osaka and two from HCMC to Tokyo. Those affected by flight cancelations on Saturday will be given seats on Sunday flights. It advised passengers to stay updated on the status of their flights as well as on weather conditions. As of Friday, the center of the storm Hagibis was around 400 kilometers (250 miles) west of Chichijima, in the Ogasawara Islands, and was moving north-northwest at 25 kph (15 mph), Japan Times reported. Thuy An reveals national costume for Miss Intercontinental 2019
Thuy An, Vietnam’s representative at Miss Intercontinental 2019, has unveiled the outfit that she will wear whilst competing in the beauty contest’s national costume segment. The Vietnamese beauty states that she will wear an outfit created by designer Nguyen Minh Tuan when she takes part in the national costume segment of Miss Intercontinental 2019 in Egypt. The outfit, which features clouds, mountains, and a large eagle on the back, is expected to allow Thuy An to perform to the best of her abilities and make a positive impression on both the pageant’s judging panel and members of the audience. Through the costume designer Nguyen Minh Tuan has brought Vietnamese folklore into fashion. 22-year-old Thuy An is a native of Kien Giang province and stands at 1.68 metres tall with measurements of 83-65-89. All of 12 years old, Bao Minh’s worst fear is not of ghosts. He’s also not afraid of heights. But he looks at stairs with some dread. Climbing the stairs is among the least favorite activities for this boy who lives in a premium apartment in Hanoi, alongside running or even walking for more than five minutes. Any body movement that gets him sweating is looked upon with disfavor by Minh. "I do not work out or play sports. Why make your body suffer when you can enjoy the air-conditioning with a snack?" he said, sitting on a couch with eyes glued to his favorite TV show. Each week, Minh gets reluctantly active for about 15 minutes during his physical education (PE) sessions, and he hates this school subject the most. He passes with a minimum score in every test.
