General Staff meets with former soldiers
At the meeting General Le Van Dung, former member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, former Director of the General Department for Politics of Vietnam People’s Army (VPA); Senior Lieutenant-General Pham Ngoc Minh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff; and former officers of the General Staff attended the event. Speaking at the event, General Giang expressed his deep gratitude to former officers of the unit as well as national contributors. He emphasized that the whole unit strictly observed the Party's guidelines and State's policies and provided recommendations for the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense. GDP marks its foundation day
Speaking at the event, the GDP’s Chief General Luong Cuong briefed delegates on international and domestic situations. Scientific seminar examines values of President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament
President Ho Chi Minh (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – The theoretical and practical values of President Ho Chi Minh's Testament were the main focus of a scientific seminar held in Hanoi on August 14 as the country looks back on the 50 years implementing the leader’s final document. President Ho Chi Minh began writing his will in May 1965 and finished it in May 1969 – four months before he passed away. Papers presented at the affirmed that the special historic document has become a guideline for Vietnam’s revolution and development during the past 50 years.
