Vietnam and U.K. foster cooperation in human trafficking fight
The Vietnamese Deputy Defense Minister emphasized that over the past time, the cooperation between Vietnam and the U.K. has been actively promoted by leaders of the two countries. Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, who is head of the organizing panel of the Emergency Area event of the Army Games 2022 in Vietnam, chaired the opening ceremony. N.A. Standing Committee scrutinizes draft amended Petroleum Law
Delivering a report on the explanation, acquisition and revision of the draft law, Chairman of the N.A.’s Committee for Economic Affairs Vu Hong Thanh said that many have suggested adding midstream and downstream oil and gas exploration and exploitation activities to the scope of the amendment of the draft law. Thanh said that upstream oil and gas exploration and exploitation activities are closely linked with the fields of defense, security and foreign affairs. Viettel to produce chips amidst global shortage
Leaders of the military-owned Viettel Group made the proposal at a Tuesday meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. The proposal was made in the context of the recent global chip shortage, which has seriously affected many manufacturing sectors and business areas, prompting several countries to promote chip production as a national security measure.
