Bar 47 on Buon Ma Thuot Town's Che Lan Vien Street and Bar Monaco on Ly Thai To Street were blasting music when police officers rushed in. Crowds of customers tried to escape but were all detained. Packers containing drugs were found littering the floor. A gun loaded with 25 bullets was also found in Bar Monaco, hidden under the chair of 32-year-old Tran Tien Dung. Dung and other suspects were taken to the police station, where Dung confessed to have bought the firearm for VND3 million ($129) in Cambodia in 2016 for self-defense.
