Savannakhet, Laos Tourism departments of Da Nang city and Savannakhet province ( Laos ), under an agreement signed on November 28, committed to create favorable conditions for local tourism businesses to boost tourism in the areas. Tourist businesses of Vietnam , Laos and Thailand will work together to open more road tours to attract more visitors and develop tourism industries. Flood wreaks havoc on central, southern Laos

(Photo: Xinhua/VNA) Vientiane (VNA) – Flood as a result of incessant rains in central and southern provinces of Laos has disrupted transport and inundated a number of houses and a vast area of crops. Local media reported that the central province of Savannakhet is one of the localities hit hardest by downpours and flood over the past days. Its Thapangthong district has been severely impacted with dozens of houses flood ed and some washed away while many fields of crops under water. The provincial administration has mobilised military personnel to help evacuate residents, livestock, and assets to safe places. Many areas in the southern provinces of Champasak, Sekong, Attapeu, and Salavan have also been flooded due to prolonged downpours. ASL LAW successfully defends in lawsuit against circumvention of trade remedies
On August 1, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No.1514/QD-BCT on the application of measures to prevent the evasion of trade remedies for some cane sugar products originating from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, and Myanmar (AC02.AD13-AS01). The conclusion from the Ministry of Industry and Trade on six businesses not being subject to anti-circumvention tax on trade remedies, including two customers of ASL LAW According to Decision No.1514, Vietnam will apply measures to prevent the evasion of trade remedies for a number of cane sugar products under HS codes 1701.13.00, 1701.14.00, 1701.91.00, 1701.99.10, 1701.99.90, and 1702.90.91. The above cane sugar products are imported into Vietnam from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, and Myanmar. Lao province seeks cooperation in ancient town preservation with Quang Nam
Welcoming a delegation from the Lao province led by its provincial Party Committee Secretary and Governor Santiphap Phomvihane, Secretary of Quang Nam’s Party Committee Phan Viet Cuong expressed his honor to receive a high-ranking delegation of Savannakhet for the first time. He said that 2022 marks a special milestone in the two countries’ relations as they are celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam - Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation.
