Vietnam Airlines’ flights between Vietnam and Germany with stops at Frankfurt Airport have been affected by a strike in Germany. According to national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines, Verdi, one of Germany’s largest services trade unions, has called for a strike by security personnel at Frankfurt Airport from 2 am to 8 pm on Tuesday. The period falls from 8 am on Tuesday to 2 am on Wednesday Vietnamese time. This will hit Vietnam Airlines' flights via Frankfurt on January 14-15. Flight JD421 from the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou to Nha Trang on Vietnam’s coast turned back one hour into the journey on Tuesday afternoon, the official Xinhua news agency said. French national dies on Vietnam Airlines flight from Hanoi to Paris
A French passenger died while traveling from Hanoi to Paris on a Vietnam Airlines flight on Saturday, an airline representative has confirmed. The 60-year-old man, identified only by his initials N.B., had boarded Vietnam Airlines flight VN19 departing Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi in the early hours of Saturday en route to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris. He was carrying a French passport and accompanied by another passenger who is a medical doctor, according to the carrier. During the flight, the crew became aware that N.B., who occupied seat 5G, had passed away for reasons not released by the airline. The flight captain immediately reported the situation to the airline’s ground service and airport authorities at Charles de Gaulle in accordance with established protocols. Malaysia, China committed to finding Airlines Flight MH370
(VOVworld) – Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said Sunday that Malaysia has pledged to continue the search for the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, exactly one year after it mysteriously disappeared, presumably into the Indian Ocean. Razak said Malaysia and its international counterparts have followed the little evidence that exists and remains committed to the search and hope that MH370 will be found. The same day, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi voiced similar hopes on the sidelines of an annual meeting of China's parliament. Wang made the statement 2 months after Malaysia declared the MH370 case is an accident and all crew members and passengers, most of them the Chinese are reported dead. A group of independent investigators that was established last April will announce a preliminary report in Kuala Lumpur on late Sunday.
