It was reported at the meeting that 47 out of the total 80 sub-items in the joint initiative have been well implemented as scheduled so far, 15 are underway, six make no progress, and work will start on 12 others in the time ahead. Around 85,088 students, including 73,877 students of high schools, 7,883 test-taker of continuing education centers and 3,328 freelance candidates will take part in the 2022 national high school graduation examination with 13,656 education officials, teachers and staff teachers to serve the exam. The organization of this year’s exam remains basically the same as in previous years with three independent tests in Mathematics, Literature, and Foreign Languages and a custom test in natural science Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) or Social Sciences (History, Geography, and Citizen Education) chosen by the candidates. The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and the park held a workshop on July 5 to report consultation outcomes about building the 3D model with the engagement of the local community. Deputy Director of the park Do Quang Lap said with a ratio of 1:10,000, the 3.1m x 2m model reflects an area measuring 31km x 20km of the park’s core zone and part of its buffer zone. It will help improve knowledge about the potential of tourism products in and around the park and engage local residents in the development of new and sustainable community-based tourism products. Rental assistance package for workers disbursed at snail’s pace
The government in late March issued a decision to grant a financial support package of VND6.6 trillion ($287.4 million) to help migrant workers pay rent for up to three months. The package is to be given to 3.4 million people by mid-August. As approved by the government, each worker will receive VND500,000-1 million per month over no more than three months. Covid-19 caseload rises to over 10.75 million in Vietnam
The Vietnamese Ministry of Health on Tuesday reported an additional 989 Covid-19 infections, raising the country's total tally to over 10.75 million. a Illustrative photo According to the ministry's report, most of the new patients are locally-transmitted cases confirmed in 43 out of 63 localities in the country. As of Tuesday evening, the number of Covid-19 patients in Vietnam has increased to over 10.75 million. On July 5, an additional 9,759 more patients recovered from the disease, raising the number of recoveries in the country to over 9.72 million. On Tuesday evening, one death related to Covid-19 was recorded, raising the total fatalities to 43,089, accounting for 0.4 per cent of total infections.
