They include food, beverages, handicrafts, and rural tourism services. The province recognised 44 more OCOP products last year, taking its total to 77 ranking from three or four star level under a five-star system. The event was attended by Chief of the Vietnam Coast Guard Command Major General Le Quang Dao, Deputy Head of the Military Youth Advisory Board Colonel Nguyen Duc Cuong, and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Duy Tien town Pham Hong Thanh. Construction of HCMC – Can Tho railway line proposed
At present, it takes 3-4 hours to travel from HCMC to Can Tho City. (Photo: SGGP) The project starts at An Binh Station in Di An City in Binh Duong Province and ends at Cai Rang Station in Cai Rang District in Can Tho City. The whole route connects six localities, including HCMC, Binh Duong, Long An, Tien Giang, Vinh Long, and Can Tho City, with 13 stations. The HCMC - Can Tho railway route is a double-track railway, using a standard gauge of 1,435 millimeters, with a design speed of about 190km/h for passenger trains and 120km/h for freight trains. With the above speed, the travel time from HCMC to Can Tho will be shortened to only 75-80 minutes, instead of 3-4 hours by road, as currently. Director of the provincial Department of Culture and Sports Nguyen Manh Ha stated that the move was finalised following a discussion with the Asian Football Confederation. The Thailand-Philippines fixture will kick off at 3.30pm and the Vietnam-Myanmar game at 7pm on the same day at the 16,000-seat Cam Pha Stadium of the province. Liaison board for veterans of Division 338 established
The ceremony saw the participation of nearly 200 veterans from many cities and provinces across the country. During the ceremony, generations of Division 338’s veterans recalled the traditions of the division. In particular, Division 338 was founded on December 11, 1956 (descendant of units operating on the Southern theater in the resistance war against the French colonialists). At present, the division is stationed in Lang Son and Bac Giang provinces. The division is responsible for training officers and reserve force, defense and economic development in Bac Giang province and five border districts of Lang Son province, including Loc Binh, Dinh Lap, Cao Loc, Trang Dinh, Van Lang. More safe houses against storms and floods built in Việt Nam

UNDP Photo HÀ NỘI - Nguyễn Thị Huyên, 65, now lives in a safe house thanks to a programme initiated by the Government, the UN Development Programme (UNDP), and the Green Climate Fund (GCF). Huyên, from Tuyết Điệm 1 Village in the central coastal province of Quảng Ngãi, suffers from sciatica and lives alone. Every day, she relied on neighbours to bring her food and daily necessities. She lived in difficult circumstances in an old shanty house that had its roof blown off during bad weather. She said: “Incidentally, I was advised by my nephew to apply for the safe house programme by the Government.
