Vietnam to use small satellites to build capacity in Earth observation

(Photo: VNSC) Hanoi (VNA) – Potential plans and roadmaps were proposed to build national capacity in Earth observation using small satellite systems during a seminar held by the Vietnam National Space Centre (VNSC) at the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) in Hanoi on June 30. In his remarks, VNSC General Director Assoc. Prof., Dr. Pham Anh Tuan said the Government in February 2021 announced a strategy for the development and application of aerospace science and technology by 2030, aiming to utilise achievements in the fields to address defence and security issues, strengthen management of environment and natural resources, monitor natural disasters and minimise their impacts, and provide related services for people. Hanoi market sees strong development in premium offices

By the end of 2022, six new projects are expected. The only Grade A building will be Techcombank Tower on Quang Trung street. This project follows the opening of another international Grade A building , Capital Place . “Tenants can pick from a variety of new high-quality Grade A properties entering soon, mostly in Hoan Kiem, Ba Dinh and Tay Ho districts. Investor puts apartments up for sale before securing land rights

There are around 504 apartments and 14 commercial buildings in its construction plan, which is expected to be completed in Q2/2025. The Provincial Department of Construction (PDC) revealed that to date, the project investors have not secured a construction permit and proof of land use rights and have not handed in an appraisal dossier. As a result, they are not legally allowed to make sale announcements. However, the investors are beginning to market their apartments through issuing "Reservation forms" and "Agreement to purchase forms." Economist Vo Tri Thanh said at a seminar on how to develop Da Nang as a destination and a liveable city in Vietnam and region, emphasising that the central city had not yet approached the ‘liveable’ standard and it needed much progress to reach the target. The event was held by PepsiCo Vietnam , the Centre of Education and Development (CED), and the Vietnam Chamber of Industry and Commerce (VCCI) - Da Nang branch. It was part of the “Increase awareness in plastic waste management” project funded by PepsiCo Foundation through Give2Asia and implemented by CED in collaboration with partners in Vietnam from January 2020 to December 2022.
