Principal Song Hyun-seop said Vietnamese has been included in the school’s curriculum as a second foreign language since April 2019. Explaining this decision, he said Vietnam and the RoK enjoy many historical and cultural similarities, noting that the Ly clan from the Southeast Asian nation came to his country very early, forming the first foundation for bilateral connectivity. Vietnam’s next steps in the fight to eradicate child labor
Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs Nguyen Thi Ha shared Vietnam’s plans to eradicate child labor at a conference in South Africa on Tuesday. At the fifth Global Conference on the Elimination of Child Labor in Durban, South Africa, Ha spoke about the pivotal role that childhood education plays in reducing the risk of children leaving school to find work. Currently, about 94.4 percent of Vietnamese children have access to education thanks to government policies to make primary and secondary education compulsory, eradicate illiteracy, and reduce or exempt tuition fees for poor, disabled, ethnic minority, and underprivileged children. Non-elite athletes run in SEA Games ‘companion marathon’
HÀ NỘI— More than 200 non-professional athletes took part in the ongoing SEA Games 'companion marathon' in Hà Nội this morning. Nông Thị Chang for the women and Vũ Đình Duân for the men took first place. Meanwhile, Hoàng Thị Hồng Uyên and Nguyễn Phan Thùy Vân came second and third in the women's event, and Đặng Anh Quyết and Võ Cao Thiện came second and third in the men's. Featuring games on its platform would boost advertising revenue as well as the amount of time users spend on the app - one of the world’s most popular with more than 1 billion monthly active users. Boasting a tech-savvy population with 70% of its citizens under the age of 35, Vietnam is an attractive market for social media platforms such as TikTok, Meta Platforms Inc’s Facebook and Alphabet Inc’s YouTube and Google. TikTok, which is owned by China’s ByteDance, plans to roll out gaming more widely in Southeast Asia, the people said. That move could come as early as the third quarter, said two of them.
