Vietnamese piano lovers will have an opportunity to enjoy a one-off performance by gifted overseas Vietnamese classical musicians in Hanoi on February 22, including a 12-year-old child prodigy, Nguyen Viet Trung, who has recently wowed Polish audiences with his tinkling of the ivories. Trung has lived in Poland with his family since he was a toddler, and his precocious talent was discovered accidently by Professor Filomena Dziedzic. The famous Polish professor noticed Trung’s ability when she heard the five-year-old playing a few notes on the piano at her club, where his sister was receiving piano lessons. An US child prodigy or the world’s most intelligent child Adora Svitak will visit Ho Chi Minh City from November 12-18 to meet with little readers. The nine-year old girl will attend a press briefing in Ho Chi Minh City and meet with pupils at the Asian School to tell about her experiences in learning and writing literature. Israeli 9 year-old genius pianist Tom Zalmanov will play with the orchestra of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music for only one performance on September 6, at 8pm in the concert hall of the conservatory, 112 Nguyen Du street. Tom Zalmanov was born in 1999 and began his piano studies when he was 5 years old. At the age of 6, Tom participated in many musical public events. So far, he has joined and won high prizes in many national and international competitions such as the second prize in "Pnina Zaltzman" Competition of Young Pianists, a special prize in “Rotary” International Competition for young musicians in Moscow and the second prize in the Israeli TV Competition “The Next Big Thing”.
