Dantri/DTiNews readers have donated VND225 million (USD9,698) to a four-year-old girl in the southern province of Ben Tre who is facing pneumonia and liver and kidney failure. The donation came after an article about Nguyen Ngoc Huyen Tran’s condition was published in the newspaper. Tran and her mother Tran was diagnosed with the diseases two years ago following a high fever. She had to stay at the hospital for many days. Tran’s father Nguyen Van Bang said at that time he had to sell all the family’s valuables to cover the treatment. However, Tran’s condition did not improve. She often has to use tranquilisers to ease her pain. The poor family is in desperate need of help Bang’s family also received a donation of VND40 million through the Vietnam Study Promotion Fund.
