Tax inspection has put considerable pressure on business owners as the tax environment becomes more complicated and challenging. With the aim to support businesses to tackle the tax audit issues, on June 14, RSM Vietnam held the webinar RSM Tax Inspection 2022 to assist enterprises in successfully managing tax inspections. The webinar successfully attracted more than 150 participants from different companies. According to Le Khanh Lam, head of Tax & Consulting Services at RSM Vietnam, the COVID-19 pandemic had certain impacts on the number of tax adjustments and tax inspections in the first four months of 2022. The tax adjustments resulting from tax audits have declined as compared to the same period in 2021. Meanwhile, only 15 per cent of tax inspections have been completed according to the year’s plan. In June 2022, Bac Giang improved its standing on the Vietnam Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index ( PAPI ). The province has also promoted the implementation of online public services at Level 3 and Level 4 in order to ensure that the rate of online public services generating dossiers reaches 85 percent, and the rate of administrative procedures handled online reaches 50 percent. Singapore announces 1.08 billion USD support package to fight inflation

Vulnerable households will receive an additional goods and services tax (GST) Voucher - Cash Special Payment of up to 300 SGD in August and a 100-SGD utilities credit. Eligible taxi main hirers and private-hire car drivers will get a one-off relief of 150 SGD in August to offset higher fuel costs. For businesses, there are higher subsidies for the Progressive Wage Credit Scheme. Accordingly, the co-funding share of eligible wage increases for local lower-wage workers under the scheme in 2022 will go up from 50 percent to 75 percent for resident employees with gross monthly wages up to 2,500 SGD. Vietnam Airlines plans to restore its entire flight network by the end of 2023
In the first six months of 2022, Vietnam Airlines has resumed flights to 14 countries and territories, including the UK, France, Germany, Australia, the US, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Lately, the airline has opened a new route to India and is preparing the necessary conditions to immediately reopen flights to China, Myanmar, and Russia when the conditions permit. The national carrier is expected to resume flights to Indonesia in July and key international routes to Japan, Korea, and Australia in November at the same flight frequency as in 2019. It hopes that it will be able to restore the entire international flight network, equivalent to that in 2019 by the end of 2023. New antibody therapies fight cancer, drum up investment
Antibody therapies are offering promising treatment breakthroughs for cancer and other illnesses, generating greater investor interest more than 20 years after they were first commercialised. Antibodies are proteins that recognise foreign substances, known as antigens, attaching themselves to them to alert the rest of the human immune system. In 1975, scientists Georges Koehler and Cesar Milstein discovered how to produce them in a laboratory, which later earned them a Nobel Prize for medicine. Dozens of synthetic antibodies have since been developed. New antibody treatments to be used with chemotherapy have arrived on the scene in recent years.
