Army Games 2022: Vietnamese Special Breakthrough contingent ready for the competition
The Vietnamese contingent consists of 12 members who are cadets at Zhukovsky Air Force Academy in Voronezh city, Russia. According to the head of the contingent, Staff Sergeant Bui Trong Tien, ten contingents from Vietnam, Russia, Belarus, Cambodia, Abkhazia, Armenia, Mali, Mongolia, Congo, Zimbabwe, and Tajikistan will compete in this year’s special Breakthrough event. Having received instructions on the event’s contents by the organizing panel, participating contingents started practice. The Vietnamese contingent has so far practiced the contents five times. With their high determination and competence, all members of the Vietnamese contingent are now ready for the competition. With the expansion of the Covid-19 pandemic, foreign embassies in Hanoi recommended expats avoid leaving Vietnam. As the Covid-19 pandemic is expanding, foreign diplomatic representations in Vietnam have updated the situation either in their websites or Facebook pages, helped their citizens carry out administrative formalities to return home and warned them not to leave the Vietnam. Plus, the Decree No. 126/2020 also details e-commerce business for individuals. Accordingly, if an organization does business with an individual, the individual does not directly declare tax, but the organization is responsible for declaring VAT on the entire revenue of business cooperation activities, regardless of the form of business cooperation results. Mekong Delta floods to be below normal this year: authorities

(Photo: VNA) HCM City (VNS/VNA) - The Mekong Delta is expected to have less flooding than normal this year, according to the Directorate of Water Resources. The delta, the country largest producer of rice, fruits and seafood, is normally flooded in the Mekong’s upstream areas, and this fertilises the soil as sediments are deposited and brings river creatures into farms. The floods are expected to peak at 3.5-3.7m at the Tan Chau Station in An Giang province in October, the directorate said. They are estimated to reach 3 metres by the end of this month, but will not affect the cultivation the autumn-winter crop. However, the high tides are expected to be high this year and flood low-lying areas in the delta’s central and coastal areas, especially when the tides occur at the same time as heavy rains. Tuyen Quang busy preparing for lantern festival
After a 2-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tuyen Citadel Festival will again be held in the northern mountainous province of Tuyen Quang this year. One of the highlights of the festival is a procession of giant mid-autumn lanterns. For more than a month now, Hoang Ngoc Tung, a local resident in Tan Quang ward, has set aside his daily tasks to join with other residents in making a mid-autumn lantern. The lantern is based on the legend of the first ancestors of the Vietnamese people - Lac Long Quan and Au Co. Local residents hope to educate children about love of their homeland and remembering their place of origin. Tuyen Quang province boasts about 40 festivals every year, but the Tuyen Citadel Festival is unique, with hundreds of giant mid-autumn lanterns in the procession.
