With 16 million labourers taking out social and unemployment insurance and 88 million people with health insurance, the VSS has strengthened the application of information technology to improve its operational efficiency. Nguyen Hoang Phuong, Vice Director of the VSS’s Information Technology Centre, said the centre has been developing a national insurance database, while also sharing population data.
