Vietnamese students finish third at US science contest
Two Vietnamese students have won third prize at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2022, the largest international pre-college science competition recently held in the United States. Tran Phong and Tran My Chi, who won third prize at ISEF 2022, pose for a photo with their teacher. Tran Phong and Tran My Chi, both of whom are currently studying at Lao Cai High School for Gifted Students, were awarded US$2,000 after impressing judges with their entry of a mobile blood bank. Their project helps to create a strong connection between hospitals and blood donors in order to allow them to promptly provide drops of blood, a move which could contribute to saving the lives of critically-ill patients. The organizing committee of Miss Tourism Vietnam Global has released a set of photos of the 35 best contestants stunning in swimsuits as the contest draws near to the finale. Inspired by the nature and tourism potential of Vietnam’s forests and seas, the swimsuit collection was made with golden as the main color in order to highlight the distinct beauty and charm of each contestant, according to the organizing committee. In its maiden organization, the Miss Tourism Vietnam Global beauty pageant looks to find a talented beauty who will be responsible for promoting Vietnam’s tourism to the world. Viet Nam’s handicraft products win UNESCO prize
Three handicraft products made by Vietnamese artisans have won the "Seal of Excellence" 2006 prize of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). The prize winners, including two pottery vases produced by the Tran Minh Kinh and Chuc Hung pottery kilns and a lacquer bowl by the Kim Ma workshop, were selected from 13 entries submitted from Viet Nam . Chu Shiu-kee, Chief UNESCO Representative in Viet Nam , said the result proved that Vietnamese handicraft products have met with international standards and should gain more opportunities in the world market. Sen Village Festival marks President Ho Chi Minh’s 132nd birthday anniversary

Lotus Festival elevates status of Dong Thap province
Dong Thap is proud to offer hundreds of local products to the wider world. According to Pham Thien Nghia, Chairman of Dong Thap People’s Committee, the event will be held provincewide to promote the cultural identity of Dong Thap people and honour lotus flowers, as well as promote cultural and economic values for products made from Dong Thap lotus plants.
