Vietnamese contingents to Army Games 2022 continue practicing for official competition day
“Army of Culture” contingent both practices and performs On August 9, the “Army of Culture” contingent of the Vietnam People’s Army had a meeting with other heads of participating contingents and referees. The same day, members of the Vietnamese contingent continued practicing to improve their professional expertise. Over the past few days, alongside practice, the Vietnamese “Army of Culture” contingent has performed at a unit under the Russian Ministry of Defense and at the lot-drawing ceremony of the “Tank Biathlon” event of the Army Games 2022. Among 16 members of the “Army of Culture” contingent, 11 are official for the competition. DiGregorio, the Asia Foundation’s country representative in Vietnam, suggested that the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) should allow businesses to experimentally approach areas that are not clearly regulated by laws, such as blockchain. Thai giants continue to bet on Vietnamese market
Thai commercial bank Kasikorn Bank (KBank) has marked its presence in Vietnam with the opening of its first branch in Ho Chi Minh City last week. Siritida Panom Na Ayudhya, assistant governor of the Central Bank of Thailand said, “Amid the global pandemic and other tensions, Vietnam is the fastest-growing economy in Southeast Asia. The sound economic condition reflects a better quality of living for the people and the growing middle-class households. Indicators ripe for wave of tech startup successes
VCs are backing startups in everything from video games to healthcare insurance services, Photo: Djinn Guild Nano Technologies, a Vietnamese pioneer that lets workers access their wages through its Vui App platform, successfully secured $6.4 million last week in an oversubscribed pre-Series A round led by Singapore-headquartered venture capital firm (VC) OpenSpace. New investors in the round included Partech Partners, Tekton Ventures, IT Farma, and Sketchnote Partners, in addition to Golden Gate Ventures (GGV), FEBE Ventures, ACE & Company, and more.
