The festival organised by the EU Delegation to Vietnam will receive the support of the EU Policy and Outreach Partnership (EUPOP), the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) reported. This year’s event will introduce 13 films in many genres presenting Europe’s cultural diversity of EU Member States that won multiple prestigious awards, including Oskar & Lilli – Where No One Knows Us, Our Struggles, Letters From Antarctica, Even Mice Belong in Heaven, Into The Darkness, The Cleaners, Perfumes, all Tales, Extra Ordinary, My Brother Chases Dinosaurs, Romy’s Salon, Never Gonna Snow Again, Acasa, My Home, Let There Be Light, 22 Angels, And Then We Danced , and Hutsulka Ksenya. Sen Village Festival marks President Ho Chi Minh’s 132nd birthday anniversary
An art performance at the festival (Photo: VNA) The three-day festival includes diverse cultural activities such as flower offerings at Uncle Ho’s statue in Ho Chi Minh Square in Vinh City, a parade to Uncle Ho’s homeland, incense offerings to Uncle Ho at his memorial house in the Kim Lien relic site and Chung Son Temple in Nam Dan District’s Kim Lien Commune. There are also performances of traditional music, volleyball tournament, martial art competition, Ao Dai performance, an exhibition of local dishes and products, and online photo contest. The festival attracts a large number of visitors and the participation of art troupes from provinces and cities nationwide. 8th HCMC Ao Dai Festival 2022 ends

Summer reading for kids: famous author’s short stories reprinted
A collection of four short stories for children by late author Trần Hoài Dương is being reprinted by the Kim Đồng Publishing House. The books are Những Đóa Hồng Bạch Dâng Tặng Andersen (White Roses for Andersen); Chuyện Vui Về Chú Ếch Cốm (Funny Tales of the Green Frog); Bé Rơm (Straw Doll); and Tiếng Mùa Xuâ n (Call of the Spring). All four books are magical, meaningful adventures into the world of animals, plants and kids. Strict visa policies hinder international guests from visiting Vietnam
Because of strict visa policies, promotions to attract international tourists have not been as effective as expected, according to many businesses. Enterprises have made huge investments to welcome back tourists, but such illogical visa policies may slow down the tourism recovery pace. Being confused and facing difficulties Many travel companies in Da Nang City told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper that visa policies for foreign tourists were still their biggest concern. Before the COVID-19 outbreak, Vietnam offered the visa waiver policy for citizens of many countries and the normal visa approval period was three to five days (visas which were valid for 30 days). However, the list of countries whose citizens are entitled to Vietnam’s visa waiver policy has been shortened and the visa processing period has been lengthened, putting enterprises at a disadvantage.
