Torrential rains sink streets in northern Vietnamese provinces
Torrential rains resulted in serious flooding along many streets in Bac Ninh and Bac Giang Provinces, northern Vietnam on Tuesday morning, leaving many cars almost fully submerged. In Bac Giang City, the capital of the namesake province, severe inundation was recorded on Hoang Van Thu and Ngo Gia Tu Streets, as well as at the Nguyen Van Cu-Nguyen Thi Luu intersection and Quang Minh Apartment Building. The show will present to music lovers the Candide Overture by Leonard Bernstein which was the most popular piece of contemporary classical music ever written; L'Arlésienne Suite No. 2 by Georges Bizet; Gabriel Faure’s Volin Concerto in D Minor, and John Adams’s Short Ride in a Fast Machine; and Poeme et Danse of Vietnamese-American composer P.Q. Phan.
