The English version of “Martin Yan-Taste of Vietnam,” a 26-episode series on Vietnamese cuisine and tourism which is hosted by renowned Chinese American chef Martin Yan, began airing on Asian Food Channel (AFC) at 8:00 pm every Thursday starting last week. Vietnam to popularise tourism on foreign TV channels
The Hanoitimes - According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) General Director Nguyen Van Tuan said at the conference in Hanoi on October 2, VNAT will launch a 30-second video clip popularising Vietnam’s tourism on foreign TV channels. At a conference held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on October 2, General Director Nguyen Van Tuan said the clip is a joint effort between the VNAT and the EU-funded Environmentally and Socially Responsible Tourism Capacity Development Programme. On October 20, the VNAT will sign a contract airing the 30-second clip 300 times on a UK TV channel. Photo for illustration. TV series salutes founder of Ha Noi
The first scene of Ve Dat Thang Long (Arrival in Thang Long), another TV series that celebrates the 1,000th anniversary of Ha Noi, was shot outdoors last weekend at Dong Nai Province’s Long Thanh District. The project was shot by M&T Pictures at the commission of HCM City Television (HTV) as a tribute to the capital from the country’ largest city, HCM City. The story is based on a few lines about King Ly Thai To in the famous Dai Viet Su Ky Toan Thu (The Complete History of Dai Viet), compiled by historian Ngo Sy Lien under the Tran dynasty around 700 years ago. Scriptwriter Pham Thuy Nhan has developed an action-packed 40-episode plot. VTC proposes to TV rights cooperation with AVG
Only one day after the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism decided to inspect the 20-year broadcast rights contract between AVG Group and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), digital TV broadcaster VTC put forward a proposal of cooperation with AVG. On January 10, VTC sent a dispatch to AVG, asking AVG’s cooperation in sharing broadcast rights of Super League’s matches. VTC wants to select games for filming and airing live itself. AVG said that it is ready to cooperate with any TV station that wants to broadcast football leagues. AVG and VTC met for discussion. VTC will cooperate with AVG for the first time this weekend, in the third round of Super League. In the two first rounds, VTC aired live the games between V. Ninh Binh – CS Dong Thap and Hai Phong – Navibank Saigon with the Vietnam Professional Football Company’s (VPF) permission.
