National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan (Photo: VNA) Moscow (VNA) – Leaders of Belarus are looking forward to an official visit of Chairwoman of the Vietnamese National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan slated for December 12-14, according to Vietnamese Ambassador to Belarus Pham Hai. The ambassador said the Belarus side hopes to discuss with the Vietnamese NA leader bilateral ties in various fields, from politics-diplomacy, economy-trade to defence-security and parliamentary partnership, focusing on directions for cooperation in the time ahead. NA Chairwoman Ngan is expected to meet with the President, the Prime Minister of Belarus, and hold talks with the heads of the two chambers of the Belarusian National Assembly. Finland picks youngest-ever prime minister
HELSINKI — Finland's Social Democrats elected a 34-year-old former transport minister to the post of prime minister on Sunday, making her the youngest head of government in the country's history. Sanna Marin narrowly won Sunday's vote to replace outgoing leader Antti Rinne, who resigned on Tuesday after losing the confidence of the coalition partner Centre Party over his handling of a postal strike. "We have a lot of work to do to rebuild trust," Marin told reporters on Sunday night, while deflecting questions about her age. "I have never thought about my age or gender, I think of the reasons I got into politics and those things for which we have won the trust of the electorate."
