The documents, published for the first time, provide an overview of the current situation, solutions and steps to be taken so that stakeholders can carry out digital transformation for sustainable tourism development, contributing to the harmonization of the process in the industry. They introduce software and apps for tourists, firms, guides and management agencies. According to the VNAT, digital transformation is an inevitable trend for the tourism industry worldwide. In Vietnam, the application of information technology (IT) and digital transformation is a major policy of the Party and State, with priority given to the development of digital and smart tourism. Singapore and Vietnam commit to further strong collaborations

In February, Vietnamese State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc paid a state visit to Singapore, with both nations vowing to continue cementing economic ties. How has this cooperation been implemented so far? Singaporean Ambassador to Vietnam Jaya Ratnam Singapore and Vietnam’s strong economic, trade, and investment ties are underpinned by decades of consistent and meaningful engagement between our governments and peoples. During President Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s state visit to Singapore earlier this year, he and President Halimah Yacob reaffirmed these ties and committed to further collaboration. Five hundred staff members from six departments under the Hanoi People’s Committee will be sent abroad for training courses from now until 2025 as part of an overseas upskilling project recently launched by city authorities. The Hanoi People’s Committee has announced an overseas training project focused on refreshing and enhancing professional knowledge and skills for cadres, civil servants, and public employees from the city’s six departments during the 2022-25 period with a total budget of around VND91 billion (US$3.9 million). These departments are required to make detailed plans for their qualified employees to take such refresher courses in foreign countries, including the U.S., Australia, Germany, France, Japan, New Zealand, and Singapore, among others, the municipal administration said. ASEAN chief highlights need for closer public-private collaboration

Jakarta (VNA) - Secretary-General of ASEAN Dato Lim Jock Hoi highlighted the need for closer public-private partnership amid challenging global economic outlook, at the 14th Dialogue with the Federation of Japanese Chambers of Commerce and Industry in ASEAN (FJCCIA) on August 10.
