USAID cooperates with MPI to ready enterprises for the future
On June 29 in Dong Nai, USAID and the Enterprises Development Agency under the MPI organised the workshop themed “Improving packaging technology and design to enhance competitiveness and efficiency”. At the workshop, businesses were updated on information about the latest design technology. Besides this, they received support to design suitable packages with their products to increase their value. One day earlier in Ho Chi Minh City, the two parties also organised a training workshop on the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and initial solutions for businesses. Investor puts apartments up for sale before securing land rights

There are around 504 apartments and 14 commercial buildings in its construction plan, which is expected to be completed in Q2/2025. Textile enterprises’ results mixed in second half of 2022

Vietnam’s HDPE pellets not subject to safeguarding duties in Philippines
Hanoi (VNA) - The Philippine Tariff Commission (TC) has announced the final conclusion on a safeguard investigation on High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pellets imported from many countries, including Vietnam . According to the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT)'s Trade Remedies Authority, TC proposed the imposition of 2% safeguarding duties on the product within three years to prevent the adverse impacts caused by imported HDPE pellets on the domestic production. However, the authority said that the HDPE pellets imported from Vietnam is not subject to the tax rate, as Vietnam is on the list of developing countries with the import volume of under 3%. In the next two weeks, the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) will give an official decision on the issue.
