VCCI, Kawasaki CCI Join Hands to Connect Japanese and Vietnamese Businesses The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) will sign a cooperation agreement with the Kawasaki Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Kawasaki CCI) of Japan. This information was revealed at the meeting between VCCI President Vu Tien Loc and Kawasaki CCI President Osamitsu Yamada in Hanoi on September 8, 2014. The event is under the framework of the visit to Vietnam by Mr Osamitsu Yamada to connect businesses in Kawasaki with those of Vietnam. Hoi An residents join hands to protect relics
Local residents in Hoi An City are now joining hands to help authorities protect the city’s cultural and historical relics. The team of locals who will report to the Hoi An Relics Preservation and Management Center will be in charge of propagandizing cultural heritage laws and regulations to other residents in the World Heritage city as well as communicating locals’ concerns to municipal authorities. Travel firms join hands to sell tours in flooding season
VietNamNet Bridge – Saigontourist Travel Service Company and Dong Thap Tourist Company have agreed to jointly promote the tour program “Dong Thap – Flooding Season” to local and international tourists. Local tourists travel on a wooden boat during the flooding season in the Mekong Delta. This is the first time travel companies have joined hands to offer this special kind of tour to foreign tourists. The two firms will jointly develop and market tours during the flooding season in Dong Thap Province, beginning in October, as a typical product of the Mekong Delta. Campaign “Join hands to end violence against woment”
(Cinet)- The campaign “Join hands to end violence against woment” has been organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Women's Union, the Farmers' Union, the United Nations in Viet Nam and other development partners on November 22 to respond to International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. A national study released by the General Statistics Office and the United Nations in 2010 showed that 58 per cent of married women had experienced at least one form of violence, including physical, mental or sexual, at some point in their lives. Further, about 50 per cent did not tell anyone about the violence and 87 per cent did not seek help from public services.
