(Cinet)- On January 19th, Japan’s Traditional New Year Festival 2013 took place in Hanoi by the Youth Union of the Information and Media Technology Institute, the Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and the Hedspi Nichibu Japanese language club on the occasion of the “Vietnam-Japan Friendship Year 2013”. Vietnamese spectators had an opportunity to learn more about Japan’s traditional New Year festival, the country’s beauty, culture and people through an exhibition, cultural activities and Japanese folk games. One of the key activities of the festival was the Yosakoi festival to welcome New Year with the participation of five Yosakoi teams, Hanoi Sennen, Nui Truc Sakura Yosakoi, Ulis Yo, Yokaze and Touyoukoi. Da Nang city: Attractive destination for Japanese IT enterprises
Providing an open investment environment and profuse human resources, Da Nang city is considered an ideal destination for Japanese information and technology (IT) enterprises. Statistics from the city Investment Promotion Centre show that as of August, the city welcomed 55 foreign direct investment projects in IT and ICT with a capital of USD12.5 million, including 24 coming from Japanese investors. So far, Japan is the country with the largest number of projects investing in Da Nang city (112), totalling USD397 million, accounting for nearly 10.8% of the investment capital of the city, creating jobs for some 30,000 local labourers and those coming from surrounding localities. 2015 Japanese New Year’s Oshogatsu Festival in Vietnam
(Cinet) - A cultural festival to welcome Japanese traditional New Year (Oshogatsu) will take place at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) on January 24. The non-profit event is held annually to reproduce Japan’s traditional Oshougatsu New Year Festival in Vietnam and promote cultural exchanges between the two countries. During the event, a wide array of activities such as music performance, photo exhibition, Yosakoi dances and yukata (an informal, unlined kimono made of cotton) wearing will also be held. Participants will have chance to get better understanding on unique Japanese culture including customs, traditions, cuisine and traditional games.
