Hanoi (VNA) – The Prime Minister recently approved an international integration strategy on labour and social affairs by 2020 with a vision to 2030. Accordingly, the strategy sets forth tasks such as stepping up the implementation of a sustainable employment programme, shifting the labour structure, promoting the movement of both domestic and foreign labourers, while bettering labour market forecasts and employment policies. The strategy will tighten management over international labour migration, help perfect salary-related policies and laws, promote labour productivity and increase the competitiveness of Vietnamese workers, and develop harmonious, stable and progressive labour relations. The law system relating to labour relations will better conform to regional and international standards, and labour safety and hygiene standards will be stepped up at the workplace. By Dao Loan - The Saigon Times Daily HCMC – Australian-invested Cowan Design Company, which has won a contest to design a logo and slogan for Vietnam’s tourism, will likely be chosen to map out a strategy to build the tourism brand name and promote the country’s tourism image, a tourism official said. Vietnamese Gov’t calls on local firms to improve foreign market strategies
The Government has approved a plan to help Vietnamese businesses directly participate in foreign distribution networks through 2020 to help Vietnamese goods penetrate international markets, a senior Government official said. Workers make cell phone cases at Korean Dawon Electronic Vina Co., Ltd. in the Yen Phong Industrial Zone in Bac Ninh Province. The project aims to promote exports by ensuring that Vietnamese products are directly sold into major distribution systems of countries in Europe, North America, Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia that signed free trade agreements with Viet Nam.
