Hanoi (VNA) – The 13th National Party Congress, to open next week, is a milestone in the development of the Party and the nation, according to a high-ranking Party official. In an interview granted to the Vietnam News Agency, Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member, permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat and head of the Committee’s Information and Education Commission, said the congress will set forth a vision to mid-21st century, aiming to turn Vietnam into a socialist-oriented developed country. While the SARS-Cov-2 hit the world’s coffee price hard, there was one thing “unexpected” to everybody, that is the worldwide shortage of empty containers in the final months of the year. This event made Vietnam’s coffee exports once again miss the US$3-billion mark. In 2020, Vietnam exported only 1.51 million tons of coffee worth US$2.7 billion, down 8.8% in volume and 7.2% in value against 2019.
