Korean Air began operating charter flights with a frequency of two flights per week to Da Nang on Wednesdays and Saturdays to meet the increasing needs of tourists. The event drew representatives from 25 travel agencies, localities and businesses from the Republic of Korea (RoK), Vietnamese tourism management agencies and more than 50 travel firms in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The RoK is one of the major tourism markets of Vietnam. In 2019 before COVID-19 broke out, Vietnam welcomed about 4.3 million Korean tourists, up 23.1 percent over the previous year, making the RoK the second largest tourism market of Vietnam. South Korea's airline will operate charter flights to Danang with a frequency of two flights per week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, to meet the increasing demand of passengers. Korean Air, the biggest airline of South Korea, has resumed flights between Incheon to Vietnam’s central beach city of Danang, starting from June 22. Korean Air restores flights to Da Nang
Korean Air, the largest airline and flag carrier of the Republic of Korea (RoK), brought 200 passengers to the central city of Da Nang on June 22 following a two-year hiatus caused by COVID-19. The passengers on board flight KE9463, which departed from the Incheon International Airport, were welcomed by local authorities immediately after their arrival at Da Nang International Airport. Yongshin, a tourist on the flight, said that he was both delighted and surprised at being welcomed by friendly Vietnamese people. The Korean man said that his arrival marked the first time he had visited Da Nang, and that he would stay for several days in order to visit the many local attractions around the central city. Korean Air has resumed post-COVID-19 service from Incheon, Korea, to Da Nang. — VNS Photo Le Lam Korean Air has resumed service from Incheon, Korea, to Da Nang after a two-year closure due, by operating two chartered flights per week between the two cities. Representative of Korean Air, Chung Eui Seock, said the airline restarted the post-COVID-19 air route by chartered flight before operating regular daily services to Da Nang from the end of July.
