|The Centre gives presentsto representatives of children born with reproductive-assisted techniques|
The Embryo Technology Center under the Military Medical Academy on August 16 met with representatives of children born with reproductive-assisted techniques and reported its achievements during the last years.
Well-equipped with state-of-art equipment, the Center has performed more than 2,000 reproductive-assisted cases by injecting sperm into woman’s womb and 600 artificial insemination cases since 2001.
As a result, so far, 500 babies have been born, and the first one, a twin, on August 2, 2002. These children have grown up healthily with a normally physical and mental development.
Each day, nearly 50 couples show up at the center for check-up, consultation and treatment.
