Vietnam reports 637 new COVID-19 cases on June 27

The new figure brought the total number of cases in the country to 10,744,085. All of the new transmissions were domestic. The capital city of Hanoi again topped the country with 188 new cases. It was followed by northern Hai Phong and central Da Nang cities, which reported 64 and 62 infections, respectively. A further 6,653 patients were given the all-clear, taking the total number of recoveries to 9,656,467. Vietnam-UK target US$10-billion trade turnover by 2023

The 6 percent increase is equivalent to a rise of VND260,000 (US$11.20) in Region 1, and VND240,000, VND210,000, and VND180,000 in Regions 2, 3, and 4, respectively. The document to this effect also specifies that the minimum hourly wage will range from VND15,600 to VND22,500, which also depends on the region. The geographical classification is determined based on the employer’s place of operation. Huge costs for filling Ha Long largest open-cast coal mine
It would cost about VND 1.20 trillion (USD 52.18 million) to fill the Nui Beo open-cast coal mine pit in Ha Long City after closure. Nui Beo used to be the biggest open cast coal source in Ha Long City with an average annual output of five million tonnes. Ngo The Phiet, director of Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company under the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group said that they are planning to fill the mined area. "The two pits are some 125 metres deep in Ha Tu Ward, Ha Long City," he said. "We may need some 30 million cubic metres of soil to fill these two pits."
