Tax inspection has put considerable pressure on business owners as the tax environment becomes more complicated and challenging. With the aim to support businesses to tackle the tax audit issues, on June 14, RSM Vietnam held the webinar RSM Tax Inspection 2022 to assist enterprises in successfully managing tax inspections. The webinar successfully attracted more than 150 participants from different companies. According to Le Khanh Lam, head of Tax & Consulting Services at RSM Vietnam, the COVID-19 pandemic had certain impacts on the number of tax adjustments and tax inspections in the first four months of 2022. The tax adjustments resulting from tax audits have declined as compared to the same period in 2021. Meanwhile, only 15 per cent of tax inspections have been completed according to the year’s plan. According to the PA05, people have recently received spam text messages for recruitment notices with remuneration of VND500,000 (US$21.6) to VND1,000,000 (US$43) a day. The police identified that it was one of the forms leading victims to actively contact with subjects and they can commit fraudulent acts of appropriating other people's properties. The scam tricks are often related to recruitment fraud notice, snatching virtual orders on e-commerce platforms to appropriate property, online investment, scamming victims to provide personal information, bank accounts to appropriate property and so on. In the first six months of 2022, Vietnam Airlines has resumed flights to 14 countries and territories, including the UK, France, Germany, Australia, the US, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. A Japanese city has been left with more than a headache after admitting a contractor lost a USB containing personal data on all 460,000 residents during a night out. The western city of Amagasaki said Thursday that a private contractor, whose name has not been disclosed, was carrying the memory stick during drinks after work. But the individual, who was working on a municipal pandemic relief programme, lost the bag containing the USB on Tuesday evening. "We deeply regret that we have profoundly harmed the public's trust in the administration of the city," an Amagasaki official told a press conference. China is the world’s largest rubber importer, Le Toan At its AGM on June 21, Vietnam Rubber Group (VRG) approved its 2022 business plan. The group aims to generate $1.29 billion in revenue but only about $230 million in after-tax profits, almost equal to the level of 2021. VRG has made efforts to reduce its dependence on the Chinese market for years. However, as of June, China still accounts for 30 per cent of its rubber and latex exports. With over 400,000 hectares of rubber plantations, VRG mainly earns its profits from selling rubber, latex, and timber. It generates about $108 million from rubber and latex.
