FLC Group, the investor in newly-operated Bamboo Airways, has proposed investing in Terminal 3 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. The information was given by Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Ngoc Dong at the cabinet meeting on Friday. If the proposal of Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) to build the third terminal for Tan Son Nhat International Airport is approved, the construction of the airport will be started in the third quarter of 2020. ACV awaits the prime minister's approval for the third terminal of Tan Son Nhat International Airport ACV has submitted a document to the Ministry of Transport (MoT) proposing the prime minister to approve the investment planning for Tan Son Nhat’s third terminal. Accordingly, the third terminal, which covers an area of 100,000 square metres, will handle 20 million passengers per year. The project will have a total investment capital of VND11.65 trillion ($506.5 million), invested by ACV and will be recouped within 23 years. This is among contents of the airport’s expansion plan by 2030 approved by the Ministry of Transport recently. Meanwhile, Terminal 3 with an annual capacity of 20 million passengers, will be built at the southern end of the airport, where the current domestic and international terminals of the airport are located. (VEN) - The Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company (CRTC) is the investor of a new international terminal at Cam Ranh International Airport. Four-star level The terminal covers total area of 50,500sq.m with total investment capital of nearly VND 4 trillion, exploiting capacity of 4-5 million passengers per year. After 19 months of construction, the terminal was officially put into operation on July 1, 2018. This is the first terminal in Vietnam meeting four-star international standards. Its design is in the shape of a swallow’s nest, a specialty and symbol of the south central coastal province of Khanh Hoa. The terminal is a two-storey building. One level is dedicated for arrivals and the other for departures.
