Viet Nam News HÀ NỘI — The Hà Nội Stock Exchange has approved The Hà Nội Textile Garment Company (Hanosimex) to list 20.5 million shares on Unlisted Public Company Market (UPCoM) on April 19. The reference price for its shares, which will be listed under code HSM, will begin at VNĐ15,800 (US$0.7) per share, equivalent to market capitalisation of VNĐ431 billion ($18.9 million) Hanosimex, formerly named Hà Nội Fibre Plant, was put into operation in 1984. The company was equitised in 2007, with the State holding 57 per cent of charter capital, worth an estimated VNĐ205 billion. Since then, the company has not increased its charter capital. Hanosimex's land plots may act as a counterpoint to the firm's average performance The Hanoi Stock Exchange has approved Hanoi Textile and Garment Joint Stock Corporation (Hanosimex) to list 20.5 million shares on UpCOM at the reference price of VND15,800. Established in 1984, Hanosimex is a large-scale corporation within the yarn-textile-garments supply chain of Vinatex, with factories in Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Ha Nam, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh provinces. Textile firm Hanosimex to restructure: ministry (08-02-2007) HA NOI — The Ha Noi Textile and Garment Co (Hanosimex) will be reorganised as a corporation, the Ministry of Industry announced on Tuesday. On the same day, Hanosimex also received a second-class medal from the Government for contribution to society. Hanosimex, a member of the Viet Nam Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex), is the leading garment maker in the northern region. Deputy Minister of Industry Bui Xuan Khu said, "Becoming a corporation will help Hanosimex boost the textile business, as well as expand its business in the other sectors such as real estate and tourism". Hanosimex general director Nguyen Khanh Son promised, "We will try to complete the equitisation next year and are planning to introduce the trademark to the global market". NGHE AN — Ha Noi Textile Garment Company (Hanosimex) started construction on its Nam Dan Hanosimex textile complexes in Nam Giang District, central Nghe An Province last Saturday. The project, which occupies a 7-ha site, will cost VND1,350 billion (US$63 million) and is divided into two phases. The project is scheduled to complete by 2015.
