In 2006, he moved to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases. He was promoted to the deputy director position in late July. Since the start of the Covid-19 outbreak, he and other doctors have collected materials and data to share with other co-workers about coronavirus. He also carried out health check-ups for thousands of people and directly treated 30 patients including 20 in critical condition. He was praised for innovative approaches to treatments for patients and preventive measures for the medical staff.
