In the past five years, the Labor Confederation and the Women's Union of District 5 carried out many activities to improve legal knowledge for female workers. Capital punishment handed to group of young men involved in gun-related murder
Two people were sentenced to death earlier this week while many others received prison terms from two to 20 years for murder and storing and using military weapons in Vietnam. The People's Court in Long An Province ordered a death sentence for To Nhut Khanh, 29, and Tran Trung Thanh, 29, as well as a 20-year prison term for Le Thanh Phuc, 29, on Wednesday. Vo Tuan Vu, 23, will be jailed for two years and three months for storing military weapons and failing to report crimes. Pham Huynh Phuc Thien, 19, will also serve two years in prison, while To Phuoc Loc, 20, will spend a year and six months behind bars for failing to report crimes. Aside from Thanh, who resides in Ho Chi Minh City, all of the defendants live in Tien Giang Province in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. UN Women, Japan join hands to mitigate Covid-19 impact on Vietnamese women
Evidence over the past year confirmed that the pandemic had a regressive effect on gender equality. As many as 5,000 poor and vulnerable women in Vietnam would benefit from a one-year project against the Covid-19 impact launched on August 2 by the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) and the Government of Japan. Vietnam News Agency joins hands to support AO victim in Soc Trang

The house was built with a total cost of 80 million VND (3,420 USD), of which 50 million VND was contributed by Soc Trang Lottery One Member Limited Company thanks to the mobilisation of the Vietnam News Agency's Bureau in the province. Saigon riverbank erosion arousing deep anxiety in local residents

Rushing out of their house, they frightenedly saw a 20-meter-long and 3-meter-wide section of the current embankment being eroded by the river. For fear of this incident could threaten their life, these people worked with the local authorities to temporarily reinforce this embankment with coconut piles and sand. FBI returns stolen antiques to Vietnam
The items, a vase and a set of tools comprising a stone ax and eight bronze pieces, was handed over to the embassy last Friday, according to an online announcement Sunday.
