On April 28, an inspection team from Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development led by Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien has inspected the quarantine and customs clearance of pork imports in Hai Phong port. The Deputy Minister has inspected refrigerated containers by him self. The pork was imported mainly from Russia. After that, the inspection team continued to check refrigerated warehouse of HP company where more than 2000 tons of pork were stored. According to the representatives’ evaluation, imported pork met the standards in terms of quality, frozen persevere spares and freshness. Storage temperature was set at about - 18 degree Celsius to ensure meat quality. According to the regulator, the volume of imported pork has only reached 50% of the target assigned by the Government, but has tripled that of the same period in 2019. In December 1972, Hanoi, Hai Phong and their vicinities were heavily bombarded in an aerial raid, known in Vietnam as "Dien Bien Phu in the air” and in the West as the 1972 Christmas bombing. It was the last US military campaign during the war and lasted for 12 days from December 18 to 29. Over 12 days and nights, the air defence grids in Hanoi and all across the north of Vietnam shot down 4,181 airplanes, including 34 expensive B52s. Truong Kim Phong, Deputy General Director of Ford Vietnam , said that Ford Vietnam achieved the best-ever monthly sales and its four key vehicle lines have led their respective segments for two consecutive months. Ranger, Everest, Explorer and Transit models took the lead in the sales of their respective segments. Mr. Mai Van Ly, captain of Ship QNg 96237 TS from An Hai commune, shared that many people in Ly Son district consider troops of Coast Guard Region 2 as benefactors who have given birth to their children for the second time.
