Vietnamese documentary wins film festival award A documentary featuring a Vietnamese martial artist filmed by Quang Ngai Television has won the Guirlande d' Honneur at the 28th Sport Movies and TV festival that ended in Milan on Tuesday. Titled Doi Vo (Martial Arts Life), the documentary features the moving story of the life and passion of veteran martial artist Ngo Bong, who was born in Tu Nghia District, in the central province of Quang Ngai. His name is synonymous with Hung Ke Quyen, a local martial art dating back to the Tay Son reign (1778-1802). Thirteen television and cinema works including feature films, documentaries, TV reports, television shows, cinema technology and advertisements were also awarded at the festival. The host Italy won four awards while China and Russia won two at the festival where 103 countries were represented. The challenges of testing software are much greater today than in the past, according to BJ Rollison, a test architect with Microsoft's engineering excellence group at VistaCon 2010's opening ceremony on Sept. 21. Rollison spoke at VistaCon 2010, the first Viet Nam International Software Testing and Automation Conference, held in HCM City from September 20-22. Duong Quoc Dinh’s photographic arts
Duong Quoc Dinh is known not only for his nude photos but also his huge number of international prizes. Though the photographer has not given any solo exhibition, in the photographic world, he is seen as a master of nude photos. Dinh’s “Lively Material” (2005) and “Afternoon Dream” (2006) won two gold medals at Japan’s Asahi Shimbun photo contest. Last year he won many big prizes in Europe and was invited to attend some international exhibitions. Recently, he won the grand prize and some other prizes at the Giuliano Carrara International Photo Contest in Italy. To become a reputed photographer, Duong Quoc Dinh experienced a lot of hardship.
