(Photo: VNA) Vientiane (VNA) – Stories about Vietnam and Laos’s traditional relations were shared with young people at a talk held by the Lao National Academy of Politics and Public Administration in Vientiane on June 24. Director of the academy Phouvong Ounkhamxeng, who is also a member of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee, told Vietnam News Agency that the talk aimed to help young Lao people gain a better understanding of the two countries’ special relations in order for them to uphold and develop bilateral ties. A priceless common asset of the two peoples Since Cambodia's revolutionary and armed forces were strong and capable enough to defend the country, Vietnam withdrew its volunteer troops and advisors in 1989 under the agreement between the two parties and states, successfully fulfilling the glorious international mission in the neighboring country. Dong Nai province currently has three enterprises investing in five projects in Cambodia. Since 2021, Dong Nai has provided 36 full-ride scholarships for Cambodian students. Every year, the province conducts meaningful activities to celebrate the Chol Chnam Thmay Festival for Cambodian students, among others.
