But for people with disabilities, appearing before the camera can be somewhat daunting. Last year, Phùng Tuấn Dũng, an alumnus of the HCM City University of Law, set up a five-member team of photographers to offer free wedding photos for the disabled. Several part-time members also do free makeup and hairstyling for the couples. While many soon-to-be married couples celebrate at luxury hotels and restaurants, Dũng's team often brings bread, cake and tea to his photo shoots at less glamorous sites. At least 100 wedding gowns and áo dài (traditional female tunic and trousers) as well as two wedding bouquets for long-term use have been donated to the team. "I've even lent my own business suit to the grooms," Dũng said, adding that the couples are free to arrange their time and choose a photo shoot venue. Asia Pacific Forum for People with Disabilities opens in Hanoi
(VOvworld) - Asia Pacific Forum for People with Disabilities opened in Hanoi on Thursday to promote their rights. Addressing the forum, Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Pham Thi Hai Chuyen, said Vietnam has participated in international programs in support of the disabled, including the Asia Pacific Decade for People with Disabilities and the Incheon Initiative Strategy. She said the National Assembly will ratify the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities this Friday: “Vietnam will fully honor its commitments in the Constitution and laws regarding people with disability as well as the Incheon Strategy and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. This will make sure that Vietnamese people with disabilities have a better life and practice their statutory rights. Vietnam marks Day for People with Disabilities

Inspiring hope for people with disabilities
(VOVworld) – Aiming to provide a “safety net” to people with disabilities, Dang Huu Tien, Director of the Viet Tam Fine Art Training Center for Disadvantaged Children, has trained hundreds of disabled and disadvantaged children on paper folding. Project “Promoting integration for people with disabilities in Vietnam” launched
(VOVworld)- A project to help Vietnamese people with disabilities integrate into the community was launched in Thai Nguyen province on Wednesday. Project “Promoting integration for people with disabilities in Vietnam” launched Funded by the Finnish Embassy in Vietnam, the 210,000 Euro project will be implemented in Thai Nguyen province until November 2017.
