Collection of packaging used for plant protection chemicals is also one of the bright spots in the environmental protection campaign in the southeastern region and the Mekong Delta. A program entitled “Together with farmers protecting the environment” has been implemented in 22 provinces. In the first five years of phase I (2012 - 2017), the program has raised awareness of environmental protection, guiding farmers from safe and effective use of agricultural chemicals to destruction of their packaging.
